Locke California is full of history, art galleries, restaurants, museums, The Boat House Marina, and gifts shops. Founded in 1915, Locke is a federal historical Landmark. Locke California is a GREAT weekend getaway!
Home of the infamous “Al The Wops” the town looks much like it did in the 1920’s.
Locke is a magnet for photographers and painters from all over. Historical walking tours are available and soon the long awaited Mermaid’s Labyrinth, an “enchanted” cafe, will be opening. Boat launching, slips and storage are available across the street at the Marina.
Check out the menu bar for the other businesses and attractions.
Among the many nationalities that lived and lived it up throughout Locke’s History, the town has become a celebration of the Chinese culture and their contribution to the levees and railroads of the California Delta.
